Patients with cerebral palsy (CP) have a non-progressive neurological disorder that may affect their speech, movements or intellect to varying degrees. CP is sometimes, but not always associated with prematurity or birth trauma. It can be due to a multitude of causes.

A comprehensive evaluation may include imaging of the central nervous system (MRI scans), and EEG and laboratory testing.

Treatment is often supportive. In individuals with CP, we strive to support them in any way we can in order to ensure that they have the optimal environment in which they can thrive, grow and develop. Our treatment plan could include therapy services (PT, OT or speech therapy) as well as focused treatment targeted towards certain symptoms like seizures, spasticity or drooling. We also offer Botulinum toxin (Botox) for spasticity and drooling.
